Trying to make replica of Green corner columns

I am trying to make several pieces of a Greek corner column from the Temple in Athens.

I considered using pvc and covering it with plaster of paris then putting in the grooves when dryed. any suggestions on how to go about doing this is greatly appreciated oh, I plan on making them only 3-4ft tall.
