This photograph of Marline Monroe’s skirts being blown upward as she stands on the subway vents has been inspirational in countless projects - any thing from the advertising world to the art world.

Probably, it could be considered as on of the Iconic photos of the Twentieth century.

Once again it is used as inspiration, this time in a most unexpected and amusing way by artist .. Artist Joshua Allen Harris, who ties plastic bag animals to the vents.

My personal favorite. Its not just there but seems woven into the street.
