i want to make a cast of my *****, whats the best way to go about this?
algenate can be picked up at www.smooth-on.com There is a lot of information there on body casting - its a two person job if you hadn't figured that out already - if you want to go for cheap it can be done with with plaster and plaster bandages - make sure to lotion first for easier release - if you need more help with this let me know.
No problem, it`s very easy, I can help you , If interested please contac me at 00359884351970 or email email@example.com
I used to make artificial breast prosthetics 30 years ago and had to make body casts of the women missing a breast. We did it with straight pottery plaster which will give you the best detail and be the cheapest way. First let me warn you to TLH(Tiny little hairs) You want to shave your entire torso before doing this or it is like pulling off a giant band aid. Use mineral oil as a separator on your body. Have burlap strips cut about 2 inches wide and about a foot long prepared on your table. Then get a large bucket and 1/2 fill it with water and then sprinkle in the Pottery Plaster until you have an island in the middle. Wait 3 minutes for the plaster to slake(Absorb the water), then with a watch with a second mix the plaster for 1 minute and pour 1/3 of the plaster into a clean bucket. Mix the remaining 2/3 of the plaster for another minute, then pour off another 1/3 of the plaster into another clean bucket. Take the remaining 1/3 of plaster and mix it until it is about the consistancy of yogurt or sour cream and starting at the shoulders start applying it until you get to above the belly button (It should look like the front 1/2 of a sleeveless man's undershirt. After applying the first 1/3 of plaster, go to the bucket that you mixed for 2 minutes and apply a second layer of plaster to the body. (You can apply the burlap by soaking it in the wet plaster and layering it on the first coat overlapping it on itself and covering all of the plaster area) Then go to the third bucket which will just start to be getting thick and apply all around the edges to thicken the edges and also apply whatever is left over the burlap. Do not discard any wet plaster down the sink. Have a bucket of water handy to wash you hands and clean your buckets and discard all of this water out in the yard. Under no circumstances discard even dirty plaster water down the sink.
When the cast has turned warm (the hotter the better - so have patience) it can be removed from the body. Believe me I had to model for a girl to teach her how to do it. You definitely want to shave everywhere the plaster will be touching your body or it will be painful to remove the cast. Then just apply a separator to the plaster negative and cast in your plaster positive.
My e-mail is <email> if you have questions - but I don't check my e-mail on a daily or weekly basis and am looking for work right now.
Definately go with the alginate Emma.DO NOT apply plaster directly onto your skin, it can be painful and dangerous.I'm a make-up effects designer with 22 years experience of lifecasting. The smooth-on site has good info. Also, just make sure you dont invite a strange person to cast your *****,obviously, nobody on this site could be classed as strange
hey. im wondering if you managed to do it as i also want to
you can do it best by brushable silicone rubber, then support mold on that silicone mold, let it dry, then cast any resin in that silicone mold,
Your ***** will be preserved for ever.
go to the ***** store they have kits to do it
Hi dippybird i have repplyed to this subject and the answer is there to help all. males or females. males have a slightly diferent proses although the principles the same hope to heer how people get on
I keep running into these urban legend, all over the internet ... I am a professional artist who has done dozens of plaster casts of human beings ... and I just do not get where all these horror fantasies come from ... I have photographs on request, I'm happy to sell castings to anyone too frightened by the propaganda ....
first of all it is not normally necessary to shave ... copious amounts of mineral oil, or vaseline if you are really hairy, is quite sufficient to act as a release agent ... second, yes setting plaster is an exothermic process but even if you use warm water to begin with (which is a very nice thing to do for your model!) the setting plaster does not get hot as it hardens, it just gets a little warmer ....third, plaster sets up VERY FAST after you mix it ... in most situations too fast to get everything covered with sufficient thickness to have strength ... there is a way to slow it down but you might have to pay me to teach it to you ... last, it is quite possible to use the "negative" cast you have created as a mold afterwards, to pour plaster into it to make a "positive", but you really need an expert to do it so that it will release afterwards ....
HI. i agree it can be done safely but with care and a lot of people don't read first and mix without knowing how much etc.but plaster bandage is safer first to use.there is a 911 video with William Shatner on a female rushed to hospital with burns from neat plaster being used for a body cast on Youtube
I know, I have seen the video ... it is staged for tv,
those are actresses, its not real, that is exactly
the stuff I am talking about ...
If I remember right, that video also states that plaster of paris contains lye (sodium hydroxide). I wonder what the reasons were for including this disinformation. Plaster of Paris is made up of pure anhydrous calcium sulfate, also called gypsum, ...it is also an alkaline compund but its certainly not lye ....
THANK YOU. i did not know this.
