How to access this newsgroup

I acess this newsgroup via AOL. A sculptur friend would like to access this group using Netscape. His university provides internet access. I am able to access other newsgroups via netscape (e.g. cnews.corel.ca and news.superbase.com, but I knew the name of the server.) Could someone give me information on how one subscribes to this newsgroup, so that I can pass on the information.

I'm not a true hacker, so take this with a pich of salt. Netscape lists on the left the news servers you have defined an access to. When you click open the news server you get the list of ng's. (Check first the Options->Show all newsgroups.) If this ng does not appear in the alt subtree, you have to contact your news server operator and ask them to subscribe this ng.

So you make a contact to your news server only, that further subscribes the groups and keeps them available to you.

Yes, but this is the information I need. What is the name of the news server, I (as well as anybody) needs to add to access this newsgroup?

[This depends on the news server your individual ISP subscribes to. You might ask the system administrator at your school. If this is too complicated, you might try going to http://www.deja.com and plugging 'alt.sculpture' in their search box. This should bring up postings from the last few months. There are also other websites that archive newsgroup postings, but I don't remember their names offhand.]
