The alt.sculpture readers & responders have drifted into philosophical statements .

Answer the question - please.

Are any of you seeing sales in the art business.

- Prior to Sept 11, it was a 3 ' Billion' Dollar a year business in the US.

Thanks , Ken Clark - www.2rts.com

YES!

Saturday night, our local art alliance had its annual juried art show and Art Walk and wine testing.

A lot of people come with the intent to buy artwork. We sold quite a few pieces. I have leads for two possible sales.

Yes.

Any slow down in the economy was in play long before the WTC & Pentagon attacks. Economy has had the pull chain pulled for about a year. Probably now seeing signs of recovery.

I have all these lifecasts around. A woman who modelled 10 years ago came in and bought one of her images outright and put money down on the other. Now to wax philosophical, we've all been in the condition of a person who must retrieve just a precious few things and flee their home. Which things do we grab up? I know that I have started acting upon the notion that life's too short to drink cheap beer. Dan in Memphis

Do you put a lot of effort into marketing?
Do you do commissions or do people "buy of the shelf, so to speak?"
