Is anyone familiar with websites, containing pictures of works of art or other arthistoric information, like articles, abstracts, bibliographies etc., for which you have to pay to get the (complete) information ?

[The New York Times seems to be pursuing this model. I tried to look up last week's article on Frederick Hart by Tom Wolfe, and I got to a header which said 'Click here to purchase this article'. I didn't, though...]
