Websites are fine, don't get me wrong, however, BUY this book!!!!!!!!!!!!: From Clay to Bronze, A Studio Guide to Figurative Sculpture, by Tuck Langland Cost me $30, but worth twice that much easily. Also check out our hero's Andrew's site and go to:http://www.sculptor.org/ also a search on bronze casting can turn up some interesting sites. Regards, Don S Thompson, Metalsmith

The 'Pirotechnia' is a 'cool' book! IIRC, to follow many of its evidently successful recipes, have plenty of dung on hand. And lets not forget the urine. But there are excellent chemical reasons for the use of these substances; it's how they were hit upon, that I always wonder. When you see what could be done in the 16th century by these, and other sound methods, it makes you feel about 2 inches tall, unless you are already that tall.
