I visited both sites (
www.stonesmason.com &
http://home.earthlink.net/~williamcrain )
Both were interesting and informative. Nice artwork at both sites.
stonesmason loaded fast. ~williamcrain was extremely slow to load. Stonecarving page, two minutes. Woodcut page, I gave up at four minutes and still loading, by that time though I could view most of the cuts. Some of my pages load slow also, and I am hoping to learn how to eliminate this problem.
Both sites were certainly easy enough to view detail on my browser and monitor.
Stonesmason pages all have the same title, so when I bookmarked, they all read the same (which would be worthless, if going back in a week, and seeing nothing but - Page Title - on my bookmark list).
Here's a question or two for Fred and William - What kinds of responses have you gotten from your sites?? Are you promoting the sites?? and, in what way?? Have you made any sales directly from the sites??
I created my own site, and have not actively promoted it, other than putting the address on my business cards, and on my signature as seen below. I have had two inquiries (one from Virginia, and one from Puerto Rico), in the five or six months of existence on the www. Both told me they found mine through a search.
If anyone has time, please critique my site. I welcome any comments, particularly negative issues that will allow me to make my site more pleasing to others.
