Gwon Osang

Gwon Osang, for those of you who have not had the pleasure, and by pleasure I mean delight, Gwon Osang is one of the leading south Korean artists to date. He has been showing since 1999,and as the most interesting work.

The most intriguing of his works in my eyes, is the sculptural work. He takes hundreds of photographs of his subject and places them in layers over light weight life sized mannequins resulting in pieces that demand more attention from the viewer. It is hard to tell at first exactly what is going on in these sculptures, as they are so life like but so not.
